The Legacy High school volleyball team is back with a vengeance, dropping their first two matches but showing their potential this week. With three new players this year, the Lady Lions are small in number but fierce in determination. According to interim coach Angela Egan, the girls are already gelling as a team and learning how to play well together. The team features senior Nicole Reithal, junior Jane McClure, sophomores Makenna Egan, Joelle Truxal, and Brookelyn White, and freshmen Sarah Clark and Rilyn Savage. The Lions lost to Holy Family Academy in three sets for their first match of the season. At their home opener at the Wrangler Event Center Thursday evening, the ladies played close sets but dropped the match 11-25, 22-25, 25-20,12-25. The next home match for the Lady Lions is at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Wrangler Event Center against Dream City Christian.
