Wickenburg Youth Football teams had a wet day playing in the rain this past Saturday against Prescott Valley Hitmen. The mighty mites of Wickenburg had a tough go Saturday morning with a loss of 0-35. Even with their loss they managed to end up sixth in the Northern Arizona Youth Football league, with a record of 3-4. They will play this Saturday in playoffs against the Flagstaff Rangers in Flagstaff. The minors also had a tough loss this weekend with a final score of 6-12. The Wickenburg Minors play Saturday the 20th at Bradshaw Mountain High School in Prescott Valley, versus the Prescott Valley Hitmen, for the first round of playoffs. The Wickenburg major’s team had their first loss this season against Prescott Valley this past Saturday. The final score of the last game of the season was 35-0 which was a major loss for the boys. The boys have a by (rest week) this weekend due to forfeit by the third seed team. Their semi-finals will be held at home (Wickenburg) on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. underneath the lights on the WHS football field. The majors finished with a winning season and a record of 6-1, which left them placed as the second seed team in the Northern Arizona Youth Football League.
