Malinda Kropf Mast, 83, of Circle City passed away Feb. 15, 2015, at Hospice of the Valley in Glendale. She was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Hubbard, Or. She was a member of Paradise Valley Mennonite Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Amos and Carrie, four sisters, three brothers and a great-grandson. She is survived by her husband Melvin; three sons, Marvin, Merlin and Myron; two sisters; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Earl S. Seahorn, 90, of Saratoga, Wyo., died Feb. 2, 2015, in Wickenburg.
This past year the world lost one of its most beloved and wonderful people when Caras Lynn Payne, age 39, of Herndon, Va., died suddenly from pneumonia alone at her home. Caras was born in Kalispell, Mont., on March 30, 1974, to Larry and Linda (Tripp) Payne. Caras moved around the country many times as a young girl with her family, had a variety of jobs as a teenager, and graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Roger H. Erichsen passed away peacefully to God on Nov. 21, 2014. He was dearly loved by many. He was born in Kingston, N.Y., Sept. 10, 1936, and moved to Wickenburg in 1968 with his wife and family to be closer to his parents George and Mable Erichsen.
Craig Michael Elg passed away from cancer, Jan. 29, 2015, surrounded by family at his home on Thunderridge Airpark in Morristown. He was 53 years old.

Blair Dalton passed away Jan. 26, 2015, at her home in Wickenburg. Blair was born in St. Louis, Mo., in April 1947. She still lived in St. Louis but enjoyed spending time in Wickenburg during the winter. She had a great love for writing and had been published. In recent years she had completed several screenplays. Blair was the daughter of Betty and Jack Macheca who were residents of Wickenburg. Blair is survived by her long time companion Bill Schicht; her sister Beth Koon of St. Louis; and her brother John Macheca of Wickenburg. Services will be held in St. Louis.
Fran E. Erickson, 64, passed away Jan. 19, 2015, in Wickenburg. She was born April 11, 1950, in Wickenburg to Albert and Irene Nord. Fran was raised in her earlier years in Salome and the family moved to the Phoenix area in the 1960s where she graduated from high school. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and later earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from East Texas State University. Fran worked in the insurance industry with Aetna for several years, retiring in 2002. She is survived by her husband Arden; and mother Irene Nord of Salome; sister Alice Taylor of Alabama; brother Jerry Nord (Karen) of Salome; sister Paula Bowers (Dennis) of Oregon; brother Albert Nord Jr. (Cory) of California.
John Joseph Spates of Peoria passed away Jan. 15, 2015, at 92. He was born Dec. 3, 1922, in Seattle, Wash., where he was raised and graduated from Seattle Preparatory School. John served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II.
William (Bill) H. Gardner III died on Jan. 19, 2015, at the age of 93 from complications of Alzheimers. He was born in Gulfport, Miss., to Ida Daughdrill and William H. Gardner, Jr. on July 21, 1921. He graduated from McComb Mississippi High School and from the Citadel. He joined the Army Air Corp in 1943. His plane was shot down in Italy. He was M.I.A., walking out through Yugoslavia to the Adriatic Sea.
William Lewis Bass, age 71, passed away Jan. 23, 2015, in San Diego. Bill was born June 10, 1943, in Henderson, Nev., to William Bass and Lenore Krummel Bass.
James Lee Hayden was born on June 19, 1932, and passed away Jan. 18, 2015, after losing his battle with brain cancer.

Esther Louise Hansel passed away at OHSU Hospital, Portland, Ore., on Jan. 22, 2015, at the age of 91. She was born at the home ranch three miles from McFadden, Wyo., Aug. 5, 1923, to John B. King and Ruth Thobro King.
Grace Eva Reiner, 91, of Wickenburg passed away Dec. 25, 2014 at Paseo Highlands Care Home in North Phoenix and is now at rest after a lengthy illness. She was born Grace Eva Stickle on Aug. 9, 1923, in Mead Township, Belmont County, Ohio, to Thomas W. and Grace J. Beatty Stickle. She graduated from Triadelphia High School in Wheeling, W.V., and married Charles Frederick Hawes, an electronics instructor and technician in 1941. For a few years they lived on their farm in Blaine, Ohio, but tired of the winters, moved to Florida for a short time, then headed out west for a drier climate in 1950.
Robert Prévost of Wickenburg passed away Jan. 13, 2015, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 5, 1963, to Octave and Marguerite Prévost, in Bellecombe, Québec, Canada.

George Burt Curtis, 89, was born Oct. 29, 1925, to Fred and Helen Curtis in Cripple Creek, Colo., and was called to his maker on Jan. 15, 2015.
Family and friends will be celebrating Lucille Burroughs’ life at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 in the Coffinger Park Recreation Room. The service will be followed by lunch. Lucille was active with many organizations in the community, including the Gem & Mineral Society, Ladies of the Elks, Garden Club and Wickenburg Walks to Boot Breast Cancer.
Jacinta M. Sandoval, 71, passed away Jan. 4, 2015, in Surprise. Jacinta was born June 4, 1943, in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Jose and Rosina Munoz. She married Guadalupe Sandoval in 1967. They came to Arizona, settling first in Litchfield Park and later moving to Aguila in 1972. She and her husband farmed and later owned and operated the Eagle Eye Mart. She was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Aguila.
Shannon Lee Anderson of Wickenburg passed away on Dec. 31, 2014. She was born Barbourville, Ken., May 16, 1974. Shannon attended and graduated from Wickenburg High School.
Arlene Hagan, 81, passed away Jan. 2, 2015, at her home in Wickenburg. She was born June 2, 1933, in Los Angeles. Funeral Mass will be said for Arlene on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Msgr. George Highberger as celebrant.
Silvio was born on July 5, 1931, in Bayonne, N.J. to Rose and Marco Marcario. He died Dec. 6, 2014, quickly and without pain (for which we are grateful), but the sudden loss left a giant hole in the hearts of his loved ones. Just a few days before he died he played tennis and the day before, he worked on his violins.

Ray Estel Lambert of Wickenburg passed away Dec. 15, 2014, at the Effus Ranch near Wickenburg. Ray was born Aug. 13, 1943, in Smith Center, Kan., and lived in the area until his parents moved to Broken Bow, Neb., and then to the Steve Cooksley Ranch near Anselmo, Neb. Ray grew up working with ranch and draft horses and developed a love for the freedom of the ranching way of life.
James (Jim) Adams left us peacefully on Dec. 19, 2014, after a stroke that caused more damage than his body could overcome. He was born in Stoughton, Mass., to Alexander and Nellie Adams on Nov. 14, 1952, the fifth of six children. He is now having a joyous reunion with his mom and dad.
Harry A. Fornoff of Havana, Ill., passed away Dec. 20, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Manito, Ill., to Henry and Ann (Durdle) Fornoff.
Paul Stewart Robinson passed away of natural causes at his residence in Wickenburg on Dec. 10, 2014. He was born Aug. 1, 1956, in California, son of John Phillip Robinson and Shirley (Jones) Robinson. He grew up in Torrance, Calif., Playa del Rey, Calif., Huntington Bay, N.Y., Long Island, N.Y., and Darien, Conn. Paul enlisted in the Navy in 1965 and served on the USS Waddell and deployed to the Pacific on the USS Coral Sea. He lived in Lakeside, Calif., until moving to Wickenburg in 2012. Paul was a member of the American Legion Post 12. He enjoyed very much his life in Wickenburg, and his sudden passing saddened many of his acquaintances. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey D. (Jan) Robinson of Brisbane, Australia; and his mother Shirley J. (Raymond) Arnold of Fairfield, Calif. Memorial services were held at the Legion on Dec. 23.
Sandra Jean Amaral, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away with family by her side at home in Wickenburg on Dec. 16, 2014.
Harvey A. LaFon came into this world on Jan. 10, 1954, on the military base of Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, to Harvey and Wilma LaFon. The family relocated to Havre De Grace, Md. Upon graduating from school he moved to Arizona, where he married and started his family. After passing through Wickenburg once for work he immediately fell in love with the little town and decided to settle his family here.

Flora Jean Michalski passed away Dec. 11, 2014, at her home in Wickenburg. She was born in Willard, Ohio, Dec. 20, 1943, to Elizabeth Risner and Carl Adams.
Dorla Woodruff Strode, 93, a longtime resident of Wickenburg, died Dec. 1, 2014, in Sequim, Wash., where she had lived since 2013. Dorla was born June 26, 1921, at home to Goldie and John Woodruff in Industry Township, Ill.
Leroy Vernon Finegan, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Dec. 1, 2014, peacefully with his wife and his children by his side.
Mary Louise Bowling, 80, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014.
Ethel Rayola Singleton, was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Teton, Idaho, to Eugene and Ethel Richmond Owens. The second of five children, she always talked about having a wonderful childhood in the small town of Teton. She had a special bond with her next younger sister Betty Jean. She often talked about their antics and how, when they dressed alike, no one could tell them apart. They did everything together, even double dating as they got older. Their bond has remained to this day, and Betty Jean has always held a special place in her heart.
Jack Finegan 76, loving father, grandfather and uncle returned to his eternal home Nov. 15, 2014, in California after battling cancer. Born in Sterling, Colo., June 30, 1938, to the late John Edward Thomas Finegan, Sr. and Mary “Molly” Finegan. He was proceeded in death by his wife Linda Finegan, and is survived by his three children, Heather “Finegan” Patey and sons John and Scott Finegan; grandchildren, Chelsey Finegan, Britney Finegan, Ashley Finegan, John Finegan, Montanna Patey and Colton Patey and two great-grandchildren, Landen and Teegan Nixon; four sisters Patty, Sheila and Julie Finegan and the late Bernadine; and brother James Finegan; many nieces and nephews in South Dakota; a special friend Monica Lambert of Arizona and many special friends in Wickenburg who prayed and supported him through his illness.
Robert (Bob) Wagner passed away on Sunday Nov. 16, 2014. Robert was born on Nov. 9, 1950, in Prescott, son to Raymond Wagner (deceased) and Yolan (Jo) Wagner (deceased) of Yarnell. Robert grew up in Yarnell, attending Yarnell Elementary and graduating from Wickenburg High School in 1968. Robert’s joys in life were hunting and the outdoors, and his love of Virgina (Ginny), his wife of 31 years. Robert is survived by his wife Ginny, sister Connie (Wagner) Richardson, niece Tonya Richardson; nephew Trevor Richardson (Heather); great nephew Quade Church-Richardson; great niece Jayden Richardson and great niece Aby Downing.
