Editor:

It was truly an honor to host the Rescue Round-Up 10th anniversary of the Humane Society of Wickenburg last Saturday. I want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate with us and brought their adopted pets from the last 10 years to join us and participate in the festivities.  It was so heartwarming to see the rescued pets from HSW with their loving families who had once passed through the shelter in their time of need; they all leave paw prints on our hearts.

I also wanted to thank our sponsors who helped make our event possible:  Thank you to Bashas’ (Pearl and the bakery ladies) who made our 12 ft. dog bone cake possible  (It was delicious);  Tractor Supply (Store Manager Bill) who provided prizes for contest winners and special gifts for the Rescued Pets who attended;  NRS (General Manager Dan) who had the hay delivered for us;  the Town of Wickenburg for providing and arranging the wonderful venue for us;  Thank you to Tim and Andrea Zobel for the great country music;  Thank you to Melody Lamon of Hair by Melody and Friends for your basket donation; and everyone who contributed and participated in our basket raffle and silent auction. Thank you to all of our wonderful HSW volunteers who were hands on and made the event possible.  We are so grateful to our generous community partners and members who help us continue to fulfill our mission to enhance the lives of animals and people by joining them together in permanent loving relationships and encourage responsible pet ownership through public awareness and humane education.  Here’s to the next 10 years of rescuing pets.
