I am part of a group of car enthusiasts in Carefree who are staging a classic car and vintage airplane show at Skyranch Airport on March 7, 2020. Being new to the business of putting on such shows, and not wanting to reinvent the wheel, we decided to learn how you folks in Wickenburg do your well-known and successful fly-in.

We contacted Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Brooks and asked if we could come up and “pick her brain.”

Julie took an hour out of her busy day to give us tremendously valuable information on how to run a good show. She certainly was under no obligation to help non-residents who live 50 miles away, yet she was open, cheerful, helpful and informative. We came away from the meeting thinking how fortunate you folks in Wickenburg are to have such an energetic and creative chamber of commerce, led by Julie.  If our own chamber gave us half the help and assistance we got from Julie,  our work would be in infinitely easier.

Our grateful thanks go to Julie and your chamber.
