Apparently, Wickenburg folks have a lot of used jeans – enough to fill 90 boxes.
Gently used jeans were collected over the last month as part of a “Jean Drive” that National Roper’s Supply (NRS) held in efforts to give back to a local charity.
NRS Store Manager Dan Hillenbrand contacted Soroptimist International offering the donation for resale at their local thrift shop.
“We are so thankful for NRS’ donation. We have never received a single-item donation of this magnitude before. We will be able to add to our scholarship fund, and continue to give back to our community,” Soroptimist President Karen Johnson said. This is the third jean drive NRS has participated in, however a first for Wickenburg. “We were surprised by the overhelming response, beyond expectations,” Hillenbrand said.
