The Vulture Peak Regional Map has arrived and is for sale at the front counter at Town Hall, 155 N. Tegner St., and Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, 216 N. Fronteir St. The maps are $12.
The map was produced in partnership by BLM, Town of Wickenburg, Maricopa County, Arizona State Land Department and Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce.
The map includes the public trail areas southwest of the U.S. 60 of Morristown and Wickenburg to the southwest area of South Vulture Mine Road, with Vulture Peak near the middle. There will be three maps that complete the set.Work on the next map, the Box Canyon map, has begun with an estimated time of arrival in Summer 2020.
Work on a digital version is also in progress.
The map is the most current as approved by BLM.
No trail changes are expected by BLM for at least a couple of years.
The map includes trails of all uses – motorized and non-motorized.
