Social guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis has all but canceled most high school activities because it is best to avoid gatherings of 10 more people.

This has forced many administrators to get creative when honoring their graduates this year, such as Wickenburg Unified School District.

WUSD will honor its Class of 2020 today, Wednesday, May 20 by turning on the stadium lights at Wickenburg High School for 20 minutes at 20:20 (8:20 p.m.).

Attendees are asked to stay in their cars as graduates are honored that evening with a brief drive-up acknowledgment of their accomplishment.

WUSD administrators are expected to make a decision by May 28 as to what other graduation ceremonies will be made available for the Class of 2020.
