Blood drive planned later this month
The Wickenburg Elks Lodge 2160 once again is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Monday, Jan. 19 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Wickenburg Community Center.
Donating blood is the essential “gift of life,” and is especially needed during the holiday season. Donors can give up to three times each year and save many lives each time they give.
As incentive to donate, all donors on Jan. 19 will receive a voucher for one ticket to the 2009 FBR Open golf classic. Also, United Blood Services is tempting new donors. Any donor who brings in a “buddy” to donate for the first time, receives two free movie tickets. For program details, visit www.unitedbloodservicesaz.org.
Donors should bring a photo ID and donor card if they have one. All donors receive a free cholesterol test as well.
