This nose-to-nose collision occurred recently on Wickenburg Way, east of the bridge in front of the McDonald’s restaurant. The fire department barely got its truck put away when another one happened - an almost identical collision at almost the exact same place. Construction on East Wickenburg Way continues to make travel in and out of the downtown area a bit more hazardous. Drivers should use caution and plan on additional time to get through the construction. According to Arizona Department of Transporation, lane restrictions will last through the summer as the “traffic flow enhancement project” continues.
