Chamber offers limited edition Cowboy Christmas Poets poster By Julie Brooks, Executive Director

Special poster for Cowboy Christmas Poets Gathering

The Wickenburg Chamber announces another collector’s poster by noted western artist Bob Coronato. Bob also created the beautiful Gold Rush Days Poster commemorating our 60th year last February. This beautiful rendition was formatted by graphic artist Maverick Englehart, who also did the Gold Rush Poster.

The limited edition signed and numbered posters are $30 each, with unsigned, un-numbered available at $15. Raffle tickets are being sold now for the No. 20 framed poster, with the drawing taking place at the Chamber Annual Dinner in January. Tickets are $5 each

Project CENTRL leadership class 19

Project Centrl is not a traditional leadership institution; it was established to provide leadership training to prepare rural leaders to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. The intensive training program assists highly motivated rural Arizonans to improve their leadership skills through a fast-paced, dynamic program designed to develop their maximum potential. Project Centrl is a two-year program consisting of 12 two-day seminars within Arizona, two five-day educational tours at the end of each year, and an individual internship project.

Twenty-nine participants in Class 19 will arrive Thursday, Nov. 13, attending a reception sponsored by the Chamber board. Joining them will be Chamber past presidents, and local Project Centrl alumni. The group will lodge at Los Viajeros Inn, attend classes, host a dinner at the Gold Nugget Restaurant, tour the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, and take in part of the Bluegrass Festival on Saturday afternoon. Speakers during the opening dinner include Royce Kardinal, Executive Director of the DCWM, and Chamber Executive Director Julie Brooks. The Chamber is proud to coordinate their stay in our community, and is proud of the 19-year relationship with the organization.

29th Annual Bluegrass Festival

It’s time for Bluegrass in the Desert on Nov. 14 through 16 for another spectacular festival that will bring to Wickenburg three nationally know host bands, and Nashville Bluegrass artist Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. Rhonda will also be in concert at the Webb Center on Friday and Saturday night. Bluegrass information is online at www.wickenburgchamber.com, and in the festival program coming out the week of the event. Special thanks to sponsors who each year contribute money toward the $6,500 in prize awards to contestants competing in 13 events. Our festival also brings people into town to spend their dollars on restaurants, lodging, groceries, gas, souvenirs and more!
