Couple marks 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie K. Farmer of Wickenburg celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at the Gold Nugget Restaurant with family and friends last week.
The couple was married Oct. 17, 1948 in Missouri where Les was employed by Missouri Pacific Railroad. The couple moved to Leadville, Colo., in 1954 where both were employed at Climax Molybdenum Mine. They moved to Frisco, Colo., where they built and operated two mobile home parks and a convenience store known as Farmer’s Corner near Breckenridge, Colo. Les also had a construction and trucking company, which he later moved to Meeker and Rifle, Colo.
After retiring, the couple moved to Wickenburg and enjoyed traveling. They attend First Southern Baptist Church, and Pat has worked the last three years at the local Wickenburg Social Services and CAP Office as a receptionist.
Their children, Linda Roush of Mack, Colo., Dale Farmer of Chandler, Ariz., and Kenneth Farmer of Tempe, Ariz., hosted the celebration.
Les and Pat are blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
