The Performing Arts students of Wickenburg High School (WHS) are set to present the musical “Seussical Jr.” Thursday and Friday (April 17-18) at 7 p.m. on the stage of the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and children and can be purchased at the door or by calling 684-6624. “Seussical” is based on the Dr. Seuss books “Horton Hears a Who” and “Horton Hatches an Egg,” but also includes many other of Seuss’ most memorable characters such as the Cat in the Hat, Yertle the Turtle, Mayzie La Bird, Gertrude McFuzz, and the Wickersham Brothers.
See the antics of the movie “Horton Hears a Who” brought to life on stage with some added flourishes to the story and with numerous songs and dances. Bring the whole family and sing along to “Oh, the Thinks You can Think,” “Monkey Around,” and “Green Eggs and Ham.”
There are tickets still available for the fundraising dinner at 5:15 p.m. on Friday (April 18). Chicken breast stuffed with garlic and cheese rice, spring mix vegetables, dinner rolls, and chocolate cream truffles is the menu for the cost of $30, which includes the dinner and priority seating at the performance. The dinner will be served in the WHS cafeteria, and all of the proceeds go directly to the Wickenburg High School Performing Arts to fund future productions.
