Wilmeth speaks at Humane Society benefit

Wickenburg’s Tom Wilmeth is due to speak to the audience during an auction this week to benefit the Humane Society of Wickenburg.
The event will take place at the Sonoran Room of Rancho de los Caballeros Friday (March 21) at 4:30 p.m.
Wilmeth is an employee of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, which runs its own animal rescue operation.
Bronze colt “Wide-Awake” by Cynthia Rigdon will be included as one of the items up for auction during this year’s benefit.
Auctioneer Carson Thomas will auction estate jewelry, bronzes and fine art. A silent auction will also take place.
Included in the $20 donation are hors ‘d oeuvres, one drink and a raffle ticket for a one-ounce Kruggerand gold coin.
The event includes a no-host bar, and all proceeds benefit the Society’s animal shelter building fund.
