The finest western/cowboy entertainment is promised at a Friends of Music concert that will take place at 2 p.m. at the Community Center Sunday (March 9).
This might sound like quite a boast, but the finest is what Belinda Gail and Curly Musgrave promise the audience as they wind down Fringe Festival festivities in Wickenburg.
They weave together a program of guitar playing, yodeling and singing traditional western music as well as gospel and traditional country songs.
Along with those, their on-stage banter is described as lively and humorous.
Belinda and Curly have put together a program that ranges from tears to hilarity. Here are some of the selections they have chosen: Ghost Riders in the Sky, Twine Midst the Ringlets, Wind Beneath My Wings, You Can’t Put a Brand on Me, Wild Montana Skies and a dozen more.
Who are these two? They have won awards from the Western Music Association of the Academy of Western Artists. They have been named as performers of the years, songwriters of the year and duo/group of the year.
Curly has put out four solo CDs, and together they have put out an additional two.
The duo has performed in Vienna, Austria, Calgary and much of the Western United States.
