Coronary health project to start
The Coronary Health Improvement Project (CHIP) will be offered in Wickenburg beginning Monday, Feb. 25.
CHIP is a community-based, scientifically sound, 30-day lifestyle improvement program that is dramatically reducing health risks associated with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and obesity. Dr. Hans Diehl is the speaker in the dynamic video lecture series. His pioneering work in lifestyle medicine includes directing research and education in the early days of the Pritikin Longevity Center in California. His research has been published in peer reviewed journals and medical textbooks showing that most people with essential hypertension, type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol, and with heart disease can reverse these diseases and often become drug-free within weeks by simplifying their customary American diet. In addition, overweight people learn how to eat more and lose weight on a permanent basis.
Attend one of the following free one-hour information sessions to learn more about CHIP and have an opportunity to register for the program:
Thursday, Feb. 14, 4 p.m. at the Wickenburg Public Library, 164 E. Apache; Friday, Feb. 15, 2 p.m. at Meridian Bank (upstairs board room), 2001 W. Wickenburg Way; Sunday, Feb. 17, 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 19, 7 p.m. at Wickenburg Christian Fellowship, 970. N. Tegner.
