Three women compete at World Finals Rodeo
Three local women placed well at the Women’s World Finals Rodeo last month in Alverado, Texas.
Keylie Tatum finished 11th in the World Standings for Team Roping; 4th in Breakaway Roping; and 18th in the All-Around - earning her 2007 Breakaway Roping Rookie of the Year honors.
She helped her cause by placing first in the first go-round at the World Finals.
Her sponsors included Tres Rios Silver, One Trick Pony, Wickenburg Home and Ranch, Cowboy Caf/, Art Rubash Construction and FCI Construction.
Toni Tyree finished seventh in the in Team Roping, 10th in Breakaway, and 11th in the All-Around. Her horse earned the 2007 Breakaway Horse of the Year honors.
Tyree’s best performances at the World Finals were third places in the first and second go-rounds.
Her sponsors include Tres Rio Silver, Serenity Farms Feed and Tack and FCI Construction.
Stacy Halford, seven-time World Finals qualifier, finished the year fifth in the Team Roping standings and eighth in the Calf Roping.
Her fourth-place average in the Team Roping at the World Finals came from her second-place finish in the second “go,” third in the third and fourth in the sixth.
Her sponsors including AZweddingpix.com, Cactus Ropes, Wrangler and Wild Alaska Guide Service.
