Artie and Autum Lussi have moved their business from Frontier Street to what they hope to be a better foot-traffic location in the Mecca Specialty Shops behind the Mecca Restaurant on East Wickenburg Way.
The business that started primarily as a store featuring NASCAR die-cast models, clothing and accessories has evolved into a general sports collectible shop including school uniforms.
They feature clothing for every major sport, making this an ideal place to pick up a Suns or D-Backs shirt or cap. In addition the store has collectible cards, models, and other franchised novelties and gifts.
“We started because Artie is a huge NASCAR fan,” said Autum. “Then we expanded into other sports and had the opportunity to supply school uniforms to Congress, Aguila, and other local schools. We recently had the CAP office contract and hope to supply their uniform needs next year.”
While the business looks to tourist and local foot traffic from interested customers, it does much of its business through its website, www.aacollectables.com. Locally the store can be reached at 684-2542.
