Dad of year contest announced

Do you know a father that created a legacy by teaching the importance of enjoying the great outdoors?

The Arizona State Parks' Outdoor Dad of the Year contest is looking for a dad who has passed on their knowledge, skills, experience and appreciation of the great outdoors.

Go to www.azoutdoordad.com to nominate a father for the Arizona State Parks' Outdoor Dad of the Year. Complete a 200 words or less description explaining why your dad or another special father should be recognized as the Arizona State Parks' Outdoor Dad of the Year.

Grand Prize is a one-week vacation for the whole family aboard a 59-foot houseboat on Lake Mead courtesy of Forever Resorts; a seven-day ski boat rental, to be used during the houseboat trip; a seven-day Harley-Davidson rental from Chester's Harley-Davidson; and a $500 gift card from Chester's Harley-Davidson.

Ten Runner-Up winners will each receive an Arizona State Parks Premium Annual Pass.

Nominations must be received by Wednesday, June 13 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced during the Doug and Wolf Show between 5 and 9 a.m. on Sports 620 AM, Friday, June 15.
