Local Humane Society in need
Christmas is past for another year. Christmas is a feel-good holiday - how to make the feelings last?
One way to make those warm feelings continue into next year is to make a contribution to a local charity. A worthwhile cause in need is Wickenburg's Humane Society. The Humane Society of Wickenburg (HSoW) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation completely funded through contributions and grants and an integral part of and contributor to the future of the town's unique culture and character.
The HSoW is at a critical juncture. The organization has no land or buildings. Thanks to a number of generous donors, there is a building-fund account at the Bank of America and a strong commitment to the corporation and the homeless animals. Wickenburg is a very caring town, caring deeply about our animals as well as our residents. It's cold out there, food is scarce and the dangers are real for these animals. Failure is not in the Humane Society of Wickenburg's vocabulary. But in order to succeed, there must be a commitment from the community.
A tax-deductible donation to the HSoW as a year-end gift, either in the way of a restricted or unrestricted gift can be a way to make the joys of Christmas last into the new year. Contact the Humane Society of Wickenburg by calling 684-8801.
