Benefit auction, dinner planned
A dinner and auction will be held on Friday, Feb. 3 at the Wickenburg Community Center to help with the ongoing medical expenses for Vicki Tomczyk. Donations are still being accepted for the auction.
The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature deep pit beef and pork, rice, beans, tortillas, salad, chips, salsa and dessert. Seating is limited for the dinner, so tickets need to be purchased early. Tickets for the dinner are $20 per person.
Social hour begins at 5:30 with the band “Loose Cannon” providing music.
Carson Thomas will start the live auction at 7:30 p.m. Some of the items that have been donated include a timeshare vacation, a weekend stay at Robson's Mining World, Seventh Inning Stretch experience box for four at a Diamondback's home game, and dinner for four at Rancho de los Caballeros. Handcrafted jewelry, a custom bookcase by Dave Lookingbill, a Valentine dinner cruise on Lake Pleasant, and a diamond ring will also go under the gavel. Soroptimist International of Wickenburg has donated a $100 shopping spree that will be auctioned.
There is no admittance fee for the auction. Bidders are advised to come early to register and preview the auction items.
