Dr. Sharma joins Webb Health Clinic
Sarita Sharma, M.D., will join the Sun Health Del E. Webb Health Center in Wickenburg this fall.
A board certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Sharma will begin seeing adult patients at the health center on September 12.
The arrival of Dr. Sharma will enable patients of Christopher P. Carlisle, M.D., to transfer to her care when he departs the health center Sept. 2 to pursue other opportunities.
Dr. Sharma currently is in a multi-specialty group practice in Sun City. She also has served as adjunct assistant professor at Midwestern University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale.
Prior to arriving in Arizona, Dr. Sharma previously was in private practice in Park Ridge, Ill., following an ambulatory care practice in Alor Setar, Malaysia. She also was medical officer-in-charge of the OB/GYN Wing at Yan Hospital in Yan, Malaysia, and served as medical officer of the Emergency and Outpatient departments at State General Hospital in Alor Setar, Malaysia.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine who completed an internship and residency at St. Francis Hospital (University of Illinois at Chicago) in Evanston, Ill.
Dr. Sharma has Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Magalore University, Manipal, India. She also received first-class honors in internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, ENT, preventive medicine, pathology and biochemistry.
As a member of the medical staff at the health center, she will accept most insurance and health plans.
Sun Health Del E. Webb Health Center in Wickenburg offers preventive and primary care to the community. Services range from physical examinations and annual health screenings to treatment for non-acute medical conditions and minor injuries.
