Las Vegas and Big Gamble ropings are going to highlight “Ty Yost’s Viva Las Vegas in Wickenburg” from Dec. 2-10 at Rancho Rio Arena. The event paid out $1.5 million in cash in 2018. Two National Team Roping qualifiers are scheduled during the eight days of roping (no roping on Sunday, Dec. 8). The first qualifier is for #9.5 on Dec. 4, and the second qualifier is #8.5 on Dec. 10. Ropers must be at least 21. Average winners can opt in to enter the 2020 NTR National Finals or keep the cash.
Entries close at 9 a.m. and roping begins at 9:30 each day. The Top 20 teams advance to the short round at a minimum. Spectators are welcome to watch the roping action for free. Rancho Rio is located at the N. Tegner roundabout.
