| Wickenburg High School’s cross country team started its 25th year of competition last Thursday (Sept. 2) by hosting 10 schools at the Wickenburg Country Club course. More than 80 boys and almost 50 girls competed in separate races, each covering three miles over the local golf course. Wickenburg’s Criston Hyett and Adrian Ruiz (middle of the pack in purple and gold) finished first and second, respectively. View the opening-meet results on Page A-14. |
Madrid, Stewart elected to council
Ruben Madrid and current Councilman Scott Stewart were elected outright as Wickenburg Town Council members during the August primary elections, both receiving enough votes to avoid a run-off during the November general elections.

Library friends plan dinner/auction fundraiser
